SUPPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES 

  • Pastoral care and orientation activities for newcomers to our school
  • Assistance and prevention to help finding solutions to school and personal problems: Counseling activities based on Graphology
  • Career workshops to help pupils select further education courses, internships and provide guidance on how to look for a job
  • “FIXO” Project (meetings with job centre experts, presentations of universities and other studying or working  opportunities, one-to-one interviews to final year students to orientate them towards Universities, other further education courses, internships and job selection)
  • Twinning programs, language courses and trips abroad, Comenius partnerships, Kepass project (France, Germany, Malta, Poland, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Romania, Albania)
  • Foreign language conversation classes with native language teachers (English, German, French)
  • Morning and afternoon courses and guidance to help pupils to get International foreign language competence Certificates at CEFR B1/B2 levels (ENGLSH-B2: ESOL Cambridge; FRENCH-B2: Delf; GERMAN-B1: Goethe Institut)
  • Afternoon optional  courses of Spanish and Russian Languages
  • Simulation of work experiences (“Simulimpresa”project)
  • Internships in local businesses (“Alternanza Scuola Lavoro”project)
  • Lessons held by members of Staff of Urbino “Carlo Bo” University  (thanks to an agreement  with the local University)
  • Archeology lessons and excavation workshops organized by “Carlo Bo” University
  • Participation to national and international competitions (scientific and technical competitions, “Games” of Science, Mathematics, Italian and Foreign Languages)
  • Supplementary lessons in the morning and in the afternoon (group work or one-to-one tuition on demand)
  • Optional Italian lessons, workshops and group activities for foreign students
  • Optional activities promoted by school teachers (such as:  going to the local Theatre, performing short plays, watching selected movies, listening to music, singing in a group)
  • Sport Society: afternoon sport activities (cross-country, soccer, rugby, volleyball, table tennis)
  • Higher education courses (FSE, ITS, IFTS) are offered at our school in cooperation with other local associations, businesses and universities such as “Formaconf”, “Confindustria” and Urbino University
  • Meetings with authors, journalists and communication experts, local politicians, managers, business people, government officers and members of local associations on key issues such as: motivation, different kinds of jobs, the environment, cooperation, local and global opportunities, peer education, health and physical education, disabilities, volunteering, IT, life skills
